What's up with the market?
Hey people of the Internet,
I was having a carbonated drink (which will not be named, I don't want to advertise without being paid) earlier today. As I was drinking it, all I could think about was:
"Hey, if making the drink costs around $0.03 and the bottle costs at maximum $0.50, then why did I just pay $2.48 for this drink?"
I know that a lot of people want money, but why would they make things this expensive (I know it's not too expensive, but what I think I really should be paying is at max $1.50)?
I'm not just picking on drinks, but the whole market, like clothing making companies. They pay $0.05 to people, in China, who spend 20 hours a day to make clothing, without seeing who they are working for. Yet these companies sell clothing for around $60.00.
And talk about the animal cruelty. They have all these chicks born, only to lay eggs and be our dinners. I know I don't like advertising for free but these is a movie that talks a lot about this, and it's called The Corporation.
I don't like what companies are doing to earn profits, but I would like to hear about what you guys have to say. Do you mind that you're paying much more than the company is paying to get the clothes made and shipped to you? Comment below and feel free to talk about what you like or things that bother you in the market.
Thanks for reading
